Welcome to Lydd Primary School. The school was founded in the small historic town of Lydd on the Romney Marsh in 1895. It is situated next to the Rype, a large expanse of open grassland given by King Offa in 774. The school has always been considered to be an important part of the local community, an aspect the current Head Teacher and staff feel important to continue through the school’s links with the community.
Lydd Primary School aims to provide a balanced and enriched curriculum where every child is supported by first -hand experience and encouraged to have a life -long enjoyment for learning. We enjoy developing a supportive partnership within our community so that children can become positive role models and productive members of the local and global community. Our school is known as a friendly place to learn and discover and this is reflected throughout the school and in our positive, welcoming environment. A prospectus can only give you a snapshot of our school. If you would like to find out more about us, visits from prospective parents are welcomed. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.
